I trained with many top guys, but one guy that outshone everyone else in my book in terms of an innate ability to convey the impressive skills he has is Sean Huff. Additionally, and equally importantly, Sean is a man of honor and comoraderie who makes you and his other students feel like you're all one solid family. My strongest recommendation for anyone who wants to become a serious jiu jitsu practitioner.

All about marketing and money. Staff is regularly paid late, at the expense of Pat paying himself and his wife ridiculous monies. Guess who works Family Day and other holidays without pay? The entire staff. Try to question Pat and he makes threats. Real, low-life, scumbag that makes Nick and Hammer do all his work for him, and takes credit for all of their efforts. Why do you think Kru Jeff left? Most of the members who know the staff, know who the real stars are. His academies are a house of cards, and his demise is forthcoming, just watch and enjoy...

Mr. Williard is an outstanding instructor and BJJ practitioner. He makes an effort to give structured classes and seeks constant feedback for improvement. The classes are fun and the general atmosphere of the gym is friendly (which I believe is a strong reflection of the instructor). I highly recommend JWBJJ!

I've known Professor Williard for many years and he is a true martial artist. He takes great pride in his art and works hard at his craft. He is a very talented man and a very gifted teacher. He puts his heart into his teaching and his focus is singular - the development and achievement of his students. He is a man of character and unwavering integrity and I commend to you without reservation.

MY JIU-JITSU RANT. BY: BOBBY THOMPSON

Here's a lengthy rant I put together on my background with the art and sport of Gracie/Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. I'm not a writer and I never blog so it's erratic and jumps around a quite a bit. Many of you have written me and I've made some friendships from having developed the site so I thought I would share a little about who I am, my history in the sport, some of my experiences (positive and negative) and my opinions about styles of teaching and things as trivial as terminology. Basically it's a brain fart. Please let me know your thoughts. These are just my opinions and they are not wrong or right, just what I believe. We are all entitled to them... click here to read the rest
