I am so very happy he's been my Bjj coach scine i started. Great teacher not only in BJJ but also in MMA. He runs american top team in atlanta, when you join not only are you a student but you become part of the ATT family. Definitely a true Blackbelt I'm sticking with!

Roan "Jucao" Carneiro is a fantastic instructor who really cares about his students. I am very proud to belong to his academy and to know him as a man with honor, integrity and heart. Jucao's teaching style is very patient and encouraging. He insures everyone on the mat understands and executes techniques correctly. He pushes his students to train hard and demonstrate a competitive spirit but Jucao always encourages respect/ sportsmanship between fellow students and with opponents. There is a very open and welcoming atmosphere at American Top Team Atlanta and the guys and gals there are my friends and family. Proud to call it home!

Roan 'Jucao' Carneiro is an awesome coach. He has trained with the best in the world in MMA & BJJ and his experience shows. Jucao also realizes what the students purpose is for training and coaches them based on what they want. If your goal is to just do BJJ he instructs you for that. If your goal is learning BJJ for MMA then he shows you what works in the cage. A belt under Jucao actually means something unlike other schools. He is not giving out belts just to make individuals happy. You have to earn it! Overall, it has been an awesome training experience and as long as I live in Atlanta, I will be training under him.

Roan 'Jucao' Carneiro is an amazing coach. He is amongst the best black belts in the world and as such his knowledge is unparallelled. He breaks down all the moves in such a way that it is easy to replicate and sticks in your mind. The biggest thing for me was mentioned in a previous post, he pretty much tailors he's teaching style to suit the individuals goals. Sport BJJ? You have a high level black belt showing you what works. MMA? you have a decorated grappling champ and UFC vet showing you moves and set-ups that are tried and tested in combat. He teaches you to respect the sport, your team mates and the gym and fosters a strong team bond which makes ATT ATL more like a family than a gym. I am blessed to have him as my coach

I have only been training under Jucao for a short period of time, but I have loved every minute I have spent at Attatl under his instruction. Jucao is great at teaching all of his students valuable technique, and always makes sure that everyone understands the details that make each technique work. I hope to be able to continue train under Jucao for a long time to come!
