Robson is a great teacher. I started off shy and Robson helped bring me out of my shell and gave me confidence. His teachings are very well explained, if i didnt get the techniques he would work with me until i got it and was good at it.

Prof.Pereira is amazing at what he does, very technical, easy to understand, and insane on the mat. I'm proud to be his student.

It's a shame that any prosessor has a rating of 6. Obviously there are alot of haters out there. I wish people would be more concerned with rating the people they train under than negatively rating the people they compete against. I think the positive comments speak volumes.

I am new to the sport and have found his methods easy to understand and he is patient with all of the students.

You can't doubt Prof. Robsin! He takes time with each student to realize their potential in all the spectrums of jiu-jitsu and tries to sharpen each skill one move at a time.

Professor Robson is a very good instructor and deserves much praise. Having such a light martial arts background, I had no confidence in learning much from any Jiu Jitsu instructor, but after a few months with Robson, I have gained enough confidence not just to compete, but to practice Muay Thai under his name as well. Training with him has earned me more than just medals. I am now physically fit beyond what ive achieved before and i am much more confident in what i do. Thank you Professor Robson!

I have been training with Prof. Robson for a few months not, and have been extremely impressed. Having trained under a brown belt in FL. in the past his level of knowledge and training methods are far beyond my previous experience. I look forward to training with him for years to come.

The United States Marine Corps sparked my interest in BJJ and Robson was a key factor in my development. Unfortunately, I had to move to SC and leave the gym. I wish there was a gym like his in Sumter, SC.

This is the best place around for sure. I am a blue belt under pereira and I owe all my sucess in bjj and Mma to him. I am 4-0 in Mma. Great one on one as well

Robson is a great professor. His knowledge and dedication cannot be matched. He will do everything possible to help you out. He focuses on bringing the team together and building great friendships. He is very patient and will explain something as many times as needed. Unfortunately work scheduled has postponed my training for now. But Robson remains a great friend and i will get back to training as soon as time allows me to.

I've trained at a bunch of other places and I've learned far more in one month with prof. Robson than I have in six months (which is the longest I've stayed at other places)with other martial arts instructors. Beginners get to train with the more advanced fighters there and a lot more is expected of you, which is how you learn. I'm also in kick-ass shape. Worth every penny.

What interested me in training under Professor Robson Pereira is that you can see when Team Pereira competes, they WIN. Professor Robson's BJJ has helped our Amatuer Fighters Win Bouts many times. The Training Atmosphere is comfortable yet Disciplined. Muay Thai Class is awesome as well and is structured alot like the BJJ class. Team Pereira also is one of the only schools around with a cage to spar and train in.

I train in other gym before for 2me years, but was a big waste of time! What I learn with professor Pereira in one month, is the real brazilian jiu jitsu, not that bs I was think was bjj,be careful guys is a lot other gyms out there! But is not the real think, I got my blue belt under s.merkart he is very fake,I got bit up and tap out by every one of professor pereira white and blue belt.was embarrassing. But im happy now because I find a real bjj instructor.

25. Submitted by kirk b i have been training with professor robson for on Saturday October 15, 2011 12:12 PM
i have been training for several years on and off with professor robson and due to my schedule and having a 24/7 buisness i have not been able to train as much as i would like and due to the location wich is farther than his last location i have tried some do jos that are alot closer and there was no comparrison!!! his training level is on another level i taped out a few brown and yes a couple black belts in other do,jos and i am only a blue belt. long story short it is worth the extra drive to professor robsons location in blandon!!!! from a personal experience i have been to many do jo,s and robson can back it all up on the mat any one can trash some one on the internet. put your money were your mouth is!! let,s set some thing up!! these days every body is trash talking some one and you are just giving this sport a bad rapp!! we are suppose to be diciplined and set a good example for the sport. you calling yourself maria carey?? people who trash others are insecure and week they have to feel the need to feed off others to make themselves feel better you are a week person!! kind of like paul dail punching josh koschek after the fight because he lost!! stop trash talking and giving this sport a bad name we know who you are!! it is easy to trace were and who this is comming from it is kind of like pressing *69 to find out who called from the phone last! i have been with robson probably the longest for several years and like any one we had our up,s and downs but when we had our diffrences or arguements he put our diffrences aside and stiil had my back!! and that is a true freind and trainer one who beleives in you and never gives up on you!!

31. Submitted by george sanchez on Saturday November 5, 2011 10:55 AM
i am sitting here next to kirk and i also trained with robson you have to know him on a personal level it is one thing to read something or hear some thing but you can only speak and know the truth when you actually train with him!! every body trash talk,s every body but he had faith in me were others did not and i am placeing in all the tournaments that im have competed in!! in the past 2 years i have lost a couple times BUT i have NEVER BEEN TAPED OUT!! i have his back and i agree!! stop giving this sport a bad name!! the fact is in the news paper about Mr Merkur that is a fact!!

39. Submitted by Kirkster on Wednesday January 18, 2012 9:26 PM
Dear energy2income. The sport is to show good sportsmanship and discilpine. Obviously you lack it! Your comments are childish. And you seem to be week and insecure feeding on the strong. Let the instructors do what they do. He is one of the best!! You know were are gym is. Bring it!! Stop hiding behind this web site! And we can jump in the cage!! Andsee who comes out!!

40. Submitted by Chad Brossman on Wednesday January 18, 2012 9:30 PM
I have studied just about every martial art out there. I've trained with some quality instructors. I've also trained with some clowns. So, please trust me when I say Professor Robeson Pereira is one of THE BEST. First and foremost there are no egos allowed. If you need to show off where you train, train somewhere else. The gym is always clean. Class always starts on time. If it's you 1st class or your 100th, you're treated with respect. All skill levels are welcome. You never feel like you're getting left behind. The Professor will repeat techniques as many times as needed. After a few classes you really begin to feel like your part of the Team Pereira Family. The Team even does things together outside of class. There are lots of places to train, few have the professional and fun environment that Team Pereira has. Check it out!

You don't know how much you learn until new people come in and your body automatically reacts to their offenses...it is such an awesome feeling. I'm a girl and I have tapped guys twice my size thanks to my training. BJJ is by far the most effective martial art I've taken and Prof. Pereira is a superior instructor.

He self promot,s himself people dont come on here at there own will! he ask,s his students and shay on here is his girl freind and some others that are on here are soooo called freinds. Also he goe,s under diffrent screen names talking posative stuff about himself when in fact it is actually him. We have found out by tracing the I.P. address to locate were these poative post,s come from.it is the same like pressing *69 to find out were the call came from. It is a shamr that he need,s this much attention!! And he has the ball,s and the nerve to have his own students pay to compete at his/there own tournament U G C he has nerve!!! What ball,s!! No wonder student,s come and go there. It is like a revolving door.

47. Submitted by Chad Brossman on Saturday February 4, 2012 12:31 PM
In response to T.J, If your going to trash someone, at least use spell check. It's hard to get offended by someone who writes on a 2nd grade level. The fact that you don't use your real name is another clue that no one should pay attention to your post. Yes, of course he promotes himself. He IS running a business. EVERY school I've ever been to charges their students to compete. Again, it's a business. Yes, it's true. Students come and go. The ones with big egos who get a reality check quit. The warriors with heart and desire to learn from the best, stay. It's not hard to figure out which one you were.

I'm pretty sure TJ is the guy who came to our gym shamelessly talking himself up, this little supposed blue belt with a giant ego (all too common in this sport for some reason), got tapped by every guy in the gym, and started crying in the locker room. Then he didn't have a ride home and we offered one so he wouldn't have to sit out in the cold.

How about everyone keeps their mouths shut and let Robson Pereira prove his lineage. This site is good for that - You can trace an instructors lineage...and if it is confirmed by the site, then chances are its true. If they have no confirmed lineage, then i would be asking questions.
