Lou is an excellent instructor who has produced many well rounded black belts! His classes are structured, technical and the training is always tough. He has a great appreciation for the traditional aspects of Gracie Jiu Jitsu while also staying on top of the newest progressions of the art.

Louis is an amazing instructor. Patient. Focused. Highly skilled. When I recently traveled to Brazil to study for a week at Gracie Humaita I was stunned by how many of the black belts there know Louis and were praising his skills both as a teacher and Jiu-Jitsu practitioner. Although a promotion at his school is hard earned and never simply given away based on length of time training - you can often find in excess of 10 brown and black belts on his mat during class or Open Mat. His skills and positive attitude as a teacher translates into an academy atmosphere where the students are courteous and have a strong brotherly bond. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a great teacher for authentic Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.
