Josh breaks down moves to their simplicity making them much easier for his students to understand. He understands that not every move is right for every student and gives them the freedom of discovery.

Josh is great instructor. His teaching is easy to understand and he is great with working with different body types breaking the moves down so a big man can pull the same moves as someone half their size.

Excellent instruction, flexible teaching specified to what works well for you, and an easy going attitude that still emphasizes hard work creates an environment perfect for training for matches or training for yourself. Easily the best instruction and workspace I've been involved in within NYC.

Josh is a great instructor, he stands out from other BJJ teachers I've had the pleasure of learning from. His lessons are precise and clear, and he makes sure everyone gets the technique before moving on.

Josh is a great instructor. He really cares a lot about his students. He changes his approach until he see that you really understand. His gym is very clean, spacious and equipped. I wouldn't want to train anywhere else.

Joshes teaching methods are unrivaled. I never knew I can progress in anything as fast as I have in bjj training under Josh. He teaches you how to be a winner! Not only is his instruction amazing... but the facilities are second to none... How many other gyms do you know that have 5 brand new showers?! and even a laundry service... JiuJitsuINC. is where IT is at!

Josh is an extremely intelligent coach who can explain complex ideas and make the simple and useful. His techniques and training methods cover a wide variety of learning styles. In addition, we have fun, which is key to learning. I have seen other BJJ players come from all over the country and take privates with Josh for his expertise in Gi. This is why, as a conditioning coach myself, I study with Josh. I know a good coach when I see one and Josh is by far the man to study Gi with.

I can't say enough about my experience at the jiu jitsu Inc. school. Josh has been a huge influence in my transitioning from a zero experience student to the realization that jiu jitsu will be a lifetime journey. A positive experience throughout that is changing my life every day.

My experience with Jiu Jitsu Inc. and Josh Griffiths as my bjj coach has been steller. I started training with Josh two years ago with no grappling experience. My progress is well above and beyond what I expected. Josh is an extremely professional and dedicated instructor. He is wonderful at breaking down complex moves so that thay can be more easily absorbed and he is always willing to go those extra steps to help his students improve.

The top instructor in BJJ in NYC. The best facilities in NYC. With the wealth of talent in NY, I still have no doubts about who is the best for me to train with, Josh Griffiths. You'll also be around the best training partners who push you mentally as well as physically into becoming a champion. More then that though, the level of comradery is unparalleled and that really comes from the energy Josh gives out. Highly recommended.

I've tried every BJJ school in the city and Jiu Jitsu Inc surpasses them all. His instruction is very technical and he breaks down each move in a way thats simple to understand. Best of all he is always available either before or after class to help with any questions. The icing on the cake are the students that train there. They are ALL nice, helpful and great to be around. They have all become friends.

Josh is a talented and patient instructor with an innate sense of how best to break down a move. His detailed lessons teach you the particular placements and pressures of your body that will most efficiently execute a technique. Oh, and he won’t get annoyed with you if you mess up. Josh also maintains a safe, fun (unless your fun is dangerous), and constructive environment. If in doubt, check it out:)

There are so many good things to say about Josh and his school that it is hard to start. BJJ, by nature can be very technical, making it a challenge to teach and learn, but Josh's methodical approach simplifies complex concepts into easily learnable chunks. He is also a great guy and has created a school with a great atmosphere. I really like all my training partners and the quality of instruction. This is a great place to train and anyone considering training bjj would be missing out if they didn't come in and check it out.
