Comprido is the best coach out there. He is a several time world champion, and also a coach to UFC fighters such as Brock Lesnar and Mike Rusow. Comprido is not only one of the best bjj players in the world, he is one of the best coaches. He helped me win 10 medals this year in international and national competition including a Pan am and nationals. Despite he is a Jiu Jitsu legend he still is a humble person, and always cares about his students first!

I have been Comprido's student for three years and I have too many good things to say. The man is a back to back open weight world champion, he trains two UFC fighters, yet he still cares about all of his students the same. From the kids to old guys he spends time working with everyone. He could teach anywhere on the globe yet he is in Illinois putting his heart into making us mere Gringos real Jiu Jitsu men.

Comprido seems very money motivated. He left his students from FLO MMA high and dry with no notice and no concern, many of which who signed up at FLO solely to train with him. Now they are stuck in 1 year contracts without a consistent BJJ teacher, and not the teacher they signed up for! He walked in and announced he's leaving to the owners, didn't say why, and walked out.

That last comment is funny, hahaha! Obviously the last comment made here was probably made by flo management or something like that, and not by a student of Comprido. Besides, the proper spelling and capitalization and numerous times "flo" mma is mentioned, the person has obviously not spent alot of time with Comprido as a student. I have trained all over the world, and dealt with many high level instructors, and Comprido was the only one not motivated by money. ANYONE from his actual team knows this. He has selflessly extended his help many times without charging a dime, while other instructors would have taking advantage. Out of his own pocket he paid to have replica awards made for all the teams that helped win the Chicago open. I guess the truth is that maybe flo is sore because they let their golden goose slip away. That is the only reason me and many others drove as far as they did. Comprido is THE top of the food chain. Where ever he goes all his students will follow, and everyone I talk to could give a damn about finishing the year contract. FYI I am offering a free membership at one of my academies to anyone who trains with Comprido until he gets his place set. So "Mike", if that is your real name and you are a actual student, you should already know all this info, and if you don't, then call me for your free membership and we will take care of you my friend. (708)478 3310. www.RandoriJiuJitsu.com By the way the owner of flo drives a 7 series BMW and Comprido drives a very modest economical car. Who is the money motivated one?

I only trained at FLO's for a short time but Comprido is the best instructor in Illinois presently. Ive trained at numerous gyms thru the years and he was by far the best and most technical intructor. And that last comment about him being money hungry- yea right- the owners of FLO's were the ones who promoted Compridos name and were very pushy about signing their contracts. I told them and their collection agencies to kiss my butt. While the owner was driving his flashy car,I remember Comprido was driving a damn station wagon, real flashy huh? Maybe Comprido felt he wasnt getting what he deserved, you know the saying- "You get what you pay for." Hes not some no name instructor who got his black belt on line or from a cracker jack box, hes a true champion, and he should be getting paid, you forget that hes also a family man. This is not just his passion but his profession, he has a family to support as well. I dont ever remember making payments directly to Comprido, they went to FLO's. Leandro, Id take that offer but the drive is too far for me, hopefully Comprido opens a school closer to me in Schaumburg, lol.

I got a mixed vibe from Comprido. I felt like some days he cared about his students and some (most) days not. I felt as though I was not in the clique that I needed to be in order to succeed with Comprido. I also felt ignored at times. I was there to learn and not get overlooked because I wasn't any good (yet). Just my opinion so don't jump all over me, I have nothing against Comprido at all, but I like the new instructor @ FLO much better. He is not a "Super Star" and surely doesn't act like one either, but the level of instruction is 1 on 1 and I learn more from him.

Dan the man..i understand how you feel..im not a click person either..and some guys may not warm up to me either..butt when it comes to learning fuck em..im not there to be freinds with everybody, and threw life you will see some people click up with certain people when you deal with large groups of guys..at the same time you have to learn to be a man..theres lots of grat guys from steve, leo, deon, jorge who are all great coaches.any time i need somthing or have a question they have never turned there back on me or denied me one time..so once again back to my point i dnt have comprido number nor do we go on dates..butt if i ever had a question im not to shy to ask...shit im still a white belt but im not begging for any attention i just continue to love and learn jiu jitsu

Great coach and communicator. Exceptional technical knowledge and eye for detail. A Big Man with a Little Man's game ... which is the most dangerous kind of opponent, if you ask me. Remarkable poise on the mat, very nonchalant in bad positions, simply trusting in his techniques. Warm, sincere character ... not afraid to tell it as he sees it. A man of conviction whose value system doesn't change with the blowing of the winds. Students of Comprido are in excellent hands. His impeccable resume of significant accomplishments speak for themselves. Anybody who knows BJJ at the highest level knows that Comprido is The Real Deal. Even the most elite black belt can learn alot from this man.

Comprido has the history and knowledge to train pro's and people like me. @ 41 new to the art I have come to love the training and look forward to training as much as possible. I walk into the gym with a smile on my face and walk out of the gym with a smile on my face and I get my ass kicked every single time I am there. And Dan the Man, There are clicks thats just the way it is, I dont worry about it if I was the best in class or I am the worst in class the training is the same; the highest level of Jiu-Jitsu training around period....

Iíve been shopping online more than three hours right this moment, yet I never found any fascinating article like yours. Itís pretty value enough for me. Personally, if all web site owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the web might be much more useful than ever before.

The Ligue Magnus is France's elite ice hockey league. There are a number of Canadian born players in the league but nearly all are from the french speaking province of Quebec. For the 2009-10 season, five alumni of the Ontario Hockey League played in the Ligue Magnus.
