Draculino is a great BJJ practitioner, an amazing instructor, and a wonderful friend. He was considered one of the best at his weight class at his time, always fighting for first against Royler Gracie. He is also the man behind BJJ powerhouses such as Romulo Barral, Samuel Braga, Alberto Crane, Marcelo Azevedo, Cristiano Titi, UFC Fighter Rafael "Sapo" Natal and much, much more. His knowledge on the mat is staggering at times and I've never heard someone, white to black belt, ask him a question he didn't have an answer to. But it doesn't stop at BJJ, Draculino is a role model father, husband and human being in General and I'm glad to call him friend. Notable Accomplishments 3x Pan American Champion (Black Belt Division 1995, 1996, 1998); Brazilian National Champion (Black Belt Division 1996); 2x World Silver Medalist (Black Belt Division 1996, 1998).

Draculino is an amazing instructor, coach and friend. I have been to many of his seminars and welcomed like family when I visit his school in Webster, TX. (Houston) His skills are really innovative and he is one of the most knowledgeable Black Belts I have ever trained with. I am honored to get to train with him and even more honored to call him my friend. M

Well i started bjj with some friends in a garage and fell in love with it. shortly after found a school. i did learn from there, but when i started with draculino it was like going to college. besides being a great and very charismatic person and a great bjj practitioner. His curriculum is second to none. i would say that is what separates him from any other bjj instructor. Every lesson is structured like a professor from an ivy league college. not only for that day but for weeks and months at a time. carefully planned out so that anyone would be able to learn and progress to the best of their abilities and even beyond. Changed my life for sure.

Man what can I say. I started my training at GBTX the week after it opened. I actually contacyed professor about week or so prior letting hin know that i was going to be a student.I have the utmost respect for professor Draculino. I feel like im at a four year institution by the way he instructs. His instruction is VERY detailed. He tells you why something works and why it doesn't. In addition, he is always open and encourages you to learn and ask questions. To receive a belt or stripe from professor Draculino is an honor and is well deserved.

Prof. Draculino's passion and enthusiasm for BJJ is evident in the way he instructs at Gracie-Barra Texas. His intelligence and leadership are only a few of many great characteristics Prof. Draculino posesses. It is an honor and priviledge to be a part of the GB-TX family and to be a student of Prof. Draculino.

I am a white belt under Draculino. Both times that I have competed I felt extremely confident just in knowing that although new to the sport, I have been training at Gracie Barra Texas, which I believe gave me advantages over my competitors. He is highly intelligent and very down to earth. He has thousands of friends and admirers and knows them all by name. He is an exceptional role model on and off the mat. There is none finer a BJJ Professor than Drac!

Professor Draculino is an awesome instructor and person. He breaks things down perfectly and has taught me soo much about the bjj game. One of the coolest things about Drac is, that if he has a minute to spare and you have a question, he will happily give you a detailed answer reguardless of your belt. Theres endless good things to say about him. Draculino rules!!

I can't say much more about Drac than has already been said. I've trained martial arts my whole life (primarily standup, small amounts of judo/wrestling scattered within) and have experienced multiple schools/instructor styles. Prof. Draculino's curriculum and style of teaching is proven and can turn even the most uncoordinated, unatheletic person in to a great BJJ practitioner. Draculino made his name in BJJ through his skills as a practitioner, but has solidified his status as a legend through his teaching techniques. You would be hard pressed to find a better instructor anywhere in the world.

Draculino has a special gift when it comes to teaching BJJ. His ability to break down the most difficult techniques and make them simple to comprehend is second to none. Not only is he, in my opinion, the best in the world at what he does. The most important thing is, he is even a better person! I have been a student at GBTX since he opened the doors, and regardless if he has been working 14 hours a day and dead tired the students will never know as he always has a smile on his face and greets everyone. He is one the hardest working men I know and does it so he can provide the best facility for his students. From Brazil to the United States it would be very difficult to find a better, more dedicated instructor than him.

Chuck Norris is scared of Draculino! :) In addition to having developed numerous national and international BJJ and MMA Champions, Drac is truly one of the nicest, most humble and gracious people I know. I have been taking his classes for close to 3 years, and I am a better person for knowing him.

Definitely Profesor Draculino has a special gift when it comes to teaching Jiu Jitsu. He's the best!!My whole family trains under him. Including me-a mother of two kids and a wife. His teaching skills are so simple to follow, I actually look forward to go to class 3 and 4 times a week.

First class in every which way. I have known him for close to ten years and his teaching and knowledge of bjj is hard to rival. If you train with one of his students you see not only the type of bjj players he produces but the type of people he produces.

As a white belt starting under professor Draculino I have to say I'm glad I chose his school. One of the brightest individuals I've ever met and with years of teaching its easy to see how he employs his high level of intelligence to help his students improve leaps and bounds.
