Sensei Trammell is a great teacher and a good friend. He treats all his students as if they are family. Sensei Trammell does not hold back in teaching his students all that he knows without having to pay extra. I would recommend his school to anyone in the Metro Detroit area that wants to learn great technique.

Professor Trammell is an amazing instructor that makes you earn everything you get. (The way BJJ is supposed to be) It is one of the only gyms that I have been to where the Black Belt instructor teaches 99% of the classes. Professor Tramell not only teaches his classes but he rolls with his students every class. If you train BJJ you know how rare this is. You essentially get private lessons every class. This is one of the things that sets him apart, aside from being there for his students. I am part of TMA because of professor Tramell and will be for the duration of my journey.

Sensei Trammell is an outstanding coach and even better person. He always gives 100% to making TMA the best Gym to train at. Nearly every class he rolls with us, and like Mark said earlier, that is a rare thing to find in a black belt instructor. If anyone is looking for a family atmosphere to train and learn BJJ this is it. Whether a member is training to compete or just to enjoy the sport, we always work hard and push each other. NO EGOS at TMA.

Sensei Trammell is a excellent instructor. He runs a top notch school and treats everyone with respect and humility. He treats all his students like family. In the short time I have been there, my knowledge of BJJ has grown immensely thanks to Sensei Trammell.

Sensei Trammell lives the way of bushido. He has a vested interest in all his students who train at the dojo. His disciplined way of life is reflected in the class, curriculum, and the way in which all that enter through the doors at TMA are treated.

Sensei Trammell is an outstanding instructor. He cares for his academy and students as if they were a house full of a large, ever growing family. As a student you learn that BJJ is a way of life not just a martial art. If you want to gain respect, discipline, patience and knowledge he is the best to learn from.

Sensei Trammell is an awesome teacher and friend. He is a very knowledgable, humble and patience instructor. Since my very first class he has shown me that BJJ is a way of life... in my mind i'm thinking... human chess. As others have mentioned above Sensei is always out on the mat rolling with us and that's definitely a plus. I'm fully committed to BJJ for life thanks to Sensei's great teaching. If you want awesome instruction from the very best with a great family environment... come check us out you will not be disappointed!!

Sensei Trammell is a superb BJJ instructor. I like lists, so I'll do a positive and negative one. GOOD -Knows his stuff, likes to mix things up so that what you learn can be utilized in ways you probably couldn't think of. BJJ Katas? Yeah, your mind is already blown. -Has a great group of guys to train with. All of them are like mini-senseis, eager to disseminate knowledge. -His sessions are packed with work. The only breaks are for water. Work, work, work, all day, erryday. Probably not so great if you're lazy and unmotivated, though. -He's more than willing to help you out, no matter what the situation. He's helped me out of a couple binds, which I greatly appreciate! -While his school's base is BJJ, we have a multitude of instructors that come in and work on other styles. We have guys that know judo, boxing, wrestling...it goes on. Shoot, we'd probably try capoeira if the chance came up. BAD- -He's a perfectionist. He will drill you until you get it right! I personally like it, but some folks enjoy a more "relaxed" environment. -....That's about it! Wait, wait, I got something. Nope, that's a good thing, now that I think about it...

It is an honor and a privilage to be a students of Sensei Trammell. Like every has said before, Sensei lives BJJ and is always giving back to it by being hands on ALL THE TIME! We train hard, but Sensei also teaches us how to train smart. The TMA family and fight team is growing with great people and thats a reflection of Sensei. Thank you for all you are teaching me!

Sensei Tramell is an excelent bjj instructor along with many other martial arts, I am proud to be a student at his school where there are no egos & its like a family atmosphere. The school is that way because of sensei and I know he would do anything for us. My 6yr old son is a student there where he learns about life lessons, respect & top notch bjj. I hope to have him learning with sensei for many years to come.

Although I've only been in the class for about 2 weeks, I can guarantee that this is an amazing class. Sensei Trammell is an outstanding instructor, taking time to help people out and listen to what people have to say. He is a kind and caring individual, and he teaches the class to the highest quality. If you want to learn BJJ and feel like you're part of a family, this is the place to join

Sensei Trammell's program is the real deal. I have both of my daughter's in his kids class. And they have gained a very positive experience from his teachings. Not only have they learned self defense but also respect for others, self confidence and teamwork. I also train under him and find that it isn't an intimidating gym. Every one is willing to help out. It is more of a family like atmosphere at his gym.
