Master Larry is a patient and enthusiastic teacher. I hated BJJ prior to taking his class and he taught me to see it not just as sport but a martial art, and way of life. He is a teacher that emphasizes detail in technique as well as having respect for the body of your partner-a quality lacking in some many bigger academies.

Master Larry genuinely inspired me with his concentration of training. He showed me if someone realistically wants to achieve a certain state in life, they have to dedicate every moment to it. In his class, one learns that Martial Arts isn't just a hobby, but a way of life. If you join his class, remember to keep an open mind and allow your self to be molded. Don't be someone who is just in it half way, but be prepared for an elevation of character through his training.

As a woman and a beginner to martial arts I am happy to have Master Larry as a teacher. He is open and supportive with new students. I feel completely safe, respected and totally supported in his dojo.

When I first started Master Larry's class I knew nothing about BJJ. In the few months since, I grew to love it as a whole. Alongside BJJ, Master Larry teaches safety, respect, and discipline, traits that are practiced by all of his students.

A man with a Big Heart! I hated BJJ because I don't like to put to ground and got choked, but with Master Larry's guidance and patient, I learned to like it a lot. He always says it's like a game of chess, there are many ways how to escape and how to deal with your opponent. It's also like our life, there are ups and downs but there is always a way (the right way) on how we can deal with it. More power to you Master Larry...

So anxious I was on my first day of class with him. I wanted to prove myself & test him at the same time. But he brushed off my semi-tests with his confident smile. His mental calm, his keen sense of observation, his patience and his ever evolving skills at BJJ make Master Larry the greatest teacher and mentor I could ask for. And since I've practiced elsewhere before, I'm sure that you would agree with me once you get the honor and chance to roll with him ;)
