I trained with Xande in 2010 as a brand new brown belt, whilst on vacation from the UK. I just did two privates with him but he changed the way I looked at pressure and weight whilst passing. The information he gave really helped me build a stronger passing game and I still use the ideas and techniques he showed me to this day. Very detailed instruction and a great eye for detail. Would love to train with him again one day! :) Thanks Xande

Xande's classes have been top notch. There is no waste in his teaching, everything is pertinent. He will give a slight adjustment of your weight, energy/breathing, or position and the physics of it just "click". Couldn't recommend more highly. Thoroughly enjoying his instruction. If you have a chance to take a class or seminar under him, do it.

Hands down one of the best BJJ instructors I have had the opportunity to train with. Extremely clear and precise instructor. His passion for teaching people the art is immediately apparent upon meeting him. I look forward to someday having the opportunity to learn from Xande again.

Xande is one of the best in the business. I had the privilege to train with him for about a year, and that was definitely the period where my game grew the most. I never have felt as sharp as I did while learning from him. Not only does he have an expansive knowledge of all aspects of the game, he has the ability to communicate this knowledge to his students in a way that makes sense. His classes were run with the perfect balance of technique, drilling and sparring. Besides his technical prowess, Xande is one of the coolest instructors anyone could ask for. He maintains discipline in class, but he is also the kind of guy you can joke around with after training or at tournaments. Xande is an incredible instructor and an equally good friend.

I have been a student of Xande Ribeiro since 2007. He is a great instructor who brings a friendly vibe to the academy. Xande has a profound understanding of both Jiu Jitsu and Judo. He is also one of the greatest competitors of all time! He is a 2X Absolute Jiu Jitsu World Champion and an ADCC Absolute World Champ! Xande is a great teacher, a great competitor and a great guy!

Who can teach you to became a champion, if not a champion who won this title? And not only once. Only he can know what you should think and feel when you fight, because he felt that many times. He knows the mistakes that you can make and helps you to avoid them. Few champions have the capacity to share that knowledge with pleasure and passion, as if he would look at himself when offers the lesson. For me, Xande Ribeiro is one of those teachers who can lead you to the path that he walked, the path that made him champion.

Training with Xande is an exercise learning pure effective Jiu Jitsu. Xande has a great sense of humor and rolls with every student. His knowledge and ability ability to communicate are second to none......a great instructor. I had the honor of being there when Royler Gracie himself promoted to his next degree just before the worlds!

Xande Ribeiro let me know off the bat in my first class with him that he is a serious instructor. In my opinion the best kind of instructor. When I was waiting for class to start, I was practicing stand up on a dummy and he let me know from the start that it is 100% BJJ and if I was looking for MMA class, I needed to look elsewhere. Very professional I know there is alot to learn from him. When I signed up for a class, I was told he cares about everything from your gi being WHITE only and how you tie your belt. Sure enough he was kind enough to fix mine before the end of class. Very fortunate to have someone of his caliber nearby to learn from. I ordered a gi for his class but they sent me a blue one.. gonna have to wait for my white one in the mail but as soon as it comes, I'm there.

Taking a seminar with Xande was a great experience. You could really tell that he had a reason for showing everything he did. He provided a very laid back atmosphere and made everyone feel comfortable. I had an awesome time and definitely got my monies worth! I also was able to spend time with him outside of the gym and he was very personable. All around an awesome instructor and person to train with.
