I was in Vegas for a short period of time, and had hit a "slump" in my training and in my confidence in general. The month I spent at Gracie Humaita Las Vegas w/ Professor Don Charlie absolutely was what I needed to get me back on my game. Professor Don is soo knowledgeable and patient, and has a unique way of making you comfortable with the techniques. Their style of training is traditional, yet comfortable and inviting. I will absolutely be sure to check in with the Gracie Humaita Las Vegas guys and Professor Don on my next and every Las Vegas trip to follow. THERE IS NO BETTER BJJ INSTRUCTION IN LAS VEGAS....PERIOD!

Don is great. He runs an excellent class, and explains things very very clearly. He always rolls with his students and has the great ability to roll at whatever level they're comfortable with. Great great instructor.

Professor Don is technical and passionate about the art of jiu jitsu. You can tell that he likes to teach and pays attention to even the slightest of detail on any move complex or simple. He does not hesitate to correct anybody. He makes sure your moves look good and functional..Oss

Professor Don coaches my son and is very patient with him as with the other kids. He teaches them respect and discipline and I couldn't have asked for a better instructor than him to teach my son the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

I spent a short time training under Professor Don in Las Vegas, and in that time i got a chance to know a great guy and a fantastic teacher. He has a tight knit team who are all very welcoming and ready to help you whenever. I heard somewhere that as a teacher your only as good as your worst student and whether theres brown belts or white belts in the class his attention is more then equal. It felt like he genuinely wanted you to be the best you can be and yet still have fun at the sport you love. Thanks Professor!

A great teacher, coach, and mentor. Don is always thinks of his students first, watching and correcting so that we all can progress in both the sport and the art with good technic.

Professor Don in Las Vegas is a great teacher! I walked through the doors and he immediately wanted to show me some basics on the mat. From there I saw his passion, knowledge, and desire to teach jiu jitsu. From there on, I fell in love with an art I've never done in my life. He is very patient with you and very technical. If you want to a teacher that will show you the right way, I suggest going to him. He demonstrates every little detail and is always there to correct every little mistake. When its time to roll, he is there to coach you and tell you if you are doing good. He pays attention to each of his students equally and makes sure no student is left behind. He is very welcoming, as well as his entire team. Definitely a great team to be on!!

Don Charley's knowledge, discipline, unparalleled technique, and true love for the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was evident from my very first class. A humble, yet incredibly skilled practitioner of the "gentle art", Don practices what he preaches, winning countless local and national competitions. And when he's not competing, Don can be found near the mat, coaching his team to victory. Rolling with his students, placing heavy emphasis on proper technique, sportsmanship, and camaraderie, I cannot imagine a better atmosphere in which to learn Jiu-Jitsu in its purest form, and the proper way. I am thankful to call myself his student, teammate, and friend.

One of the most "full of himself" people I have ever met. You would think someone like this would be humble but quite the opposite in my encounter. Must be making up for some shortcomings.
