One of the best around. Leg locks like no other. Also, he has no instructor lineage because he was birthed by the gods...

Jake is an excellent instructor. He makes you want to learn BJJ. Many coaches I've had in the past just want to yell or humiliate you or show you how much better they are than you. Jake is not that coach; he makes you want to learn BJJ and he instills confidence and accomplishment amongst his students. Jake is also an excellent combat BJJ instructor; many of his techniques are relevant for MMA and he is not afraid to teach leg locks or knee bars or techniques often frowned upon by traditional BJJ schools. Not only does he teach these techniques, but he makes them accessible and relevant. Jake is one of the best BJJ coaches in Atlanta and I would recommend him to beginners and experienced bjj practitioners.

Jake's instruction is hands on, attentive and easy to absorb. My game has completely changed (for the better) since working with Jake. If you want to learn leg-locks, look no where else.

Great instructor, brings out the best in his students and has a nuanced perspective and experience with 10+ years of experience in BJJ. The secret to his power lies in his ponytail.

I'm a slow learner and need careful attention when being taught. Jake is a very patient instructor who is willing to take his time to make sure you fully understand the mechanics of Jiu Jitsu. I love that he does not strictly teach you within the bounds of a traditional jiu jitsu school. If he feels you have learned and maintain a successful level of understanding he will continue to teach more advanced moves (i.e. leg locks) instead of holding you back. He teaches based off where you are technically and how you execute as opposed to a time standard. I went from rolling under his tutelage 2-3 times a week to basically 7 days a week. As much of a toll as it took on the body, it was always supplemented by fun. You'll find he's more of a friend than a "I take your money and give you belt instructor." This is plainly evident in the amount of students who loyally moved from one gym to another to remain in his class. If your looking for more than just superior jiu jitsu instruction and desire a close nit band of brothers to train with day in and day out then look no further than the Elite Edge Training Center.

One of the best bjj instructor in Atlanta. I recommend to all beginners and advance students to come check him out at Elite Edge Fitness. By far, he has the best leg lock techniques and not afraid to apply it on anybody. Since I been training with him for almost 3 years, I have develop the knack to slap a leg lock with full confidence on any opponents I encounter. Great coach and stand up guy outside the gym.

One of the greatest coaches and most kind hearted instructors i know that will put you on the ground and whoop your ass. He has a great since of humor and we worked well together in his classes. The gym (elite edge) was kinda hard to find but once you go in you will never forget it do to the amazing setup and crew they have. When i finally got a chance to roll with this instructor i walked/limped away with ton of new techniques that i will never forget.
