Shae Smith is an excellent coach. I've worked with him for the past several months and can't say enough about the quality of his coaching/teaching. His mastery of BJJ is matched only by his ability to teach others. You are always better at the end of Coach Smith's classes than when you at the beginning!

I have known this man for about two years. I had stopped training lost a good amount of muscle. We talked and he informed me that getting back into training an grappling would help me in every way possible. I have started again and it has helped everything from stress to confidence. Life is great and Shae pushed me in the right direction.

Shae Smith is an incredible coach. In seasons of struggle Shae has always been there to break things down and help me along the way. Shae's teaching methods also deserve praise. He is blessed with an ability to teach with humor, charisma, and an amazing personality which culminates towards your development. I would highly recommend Shae to anyone.

Shae is personable, attentive and cares about his students learning the techniques he teaches and working them into their own games. He's the type of BJJ instructor that you know was meant to teach as well at kick ass at tournaments.

If anyone were to ask me who they should train under in order to learn BJJ, first person I would recommend is Shae. Shae is incredibly knowledgeable. He has an amazing ability to coaching ability. He can make any move easy to learn, for anyone. He gives his students the confidence to roll with anyone, even higher belts. He makes every practice count all while throwing in some humor to lighten the mood every now and again. All in all, I could go on about Shae but to save some space, I recommend that you just go in and enjoy the uniquely awesome coaching experience you can only get from Shae Smith.

Coach Smith is an amazing teacher. His personal insights into the techniques he demonstrates make a huge difference in understanding the position when compared to a generic lesson. He really makes it a point to explain the small points of a position or technique that really make a difference and he has helped bring my game up to a new level from his lessons as well as rolling with him

Shae Smith is an awesome coach. Everyone else pretty much said why but I honestly wouldn't be taking the time out of my day to write this comment unless I truly believed that he has helped me in my BJJ journey. Deal with it. Also, swag.

Shae is an AMAZING coach! He has an uncanny ability to make you feel as if you're the only one in the room, when it's clear there's 15+ other guys there. Rare in my life, have I experienced "No such thing as a dumb question" but Coach Shae embodies this. He will take your question and expound on it and show you how to take your question into one or two other combos. Coach Shae all the way

Coach Shae is one of a kind. He keeps his classes learning the entire time, while also chuckling. The man has a mean spider guard. I always look for his class to attend.

Shae's enthusiasm for jiu jitsu is contagious; it's impossible to not be stoked about training when he's teaching. He has the passion to keep an entire class engaged, and the patience to work with you one on one. His teaching style is both informative and entertaining; never in a bad mood, always ready to crack a joke. If you take one of Shae's classes, you'll definitely come away feeling like your game has improved.

Shae is a really solid coach. He draws a nice balance between explaining a move, showing its requisite pieces, and training it all without belaboring the point. He has a good sense of humor and a great eye for technique. I'm always psyched to go to one of his classes.

Shae Smith is one the best teachers in any field I have had in my 34 years. He is passionate and genuinely cares about your martial arts path. He has a great personality and charisma,is fun to train with and he is a professional. He is patient and addresses your questions without prejudice or judgement. Shae has a knack of teaching you, not only theory, but when you roll with him, he can impart knowledge by gently exposing your weakness. He has no issues or problems letting a white belt develop his game and try techniques during live play. I had Shae as an instructor at CU Boulder and had the best experience along with his partner John Stephenson. I hope to continue the genuine privilege of training under Shae in the future.

Shae is always supportive and positive, he knows how to keep his classes fun but he also knows jiu jitsu. The students at Easton are lucky to have him as an instructor!

My name is Georges Bous and i am a professional drummer with a lot of touring experience. I always though that music is my only outlet of happiness until i met Coach Shae. he has changed my life and improved me as a person physically and mentally. I have lost 20lb of fat and gained 10lb of muscle in a very short period of time . Being also a drum instructor he has improved my teaching skills as i follow his meathods in teaching fundimentals and drilling them over and over before you move on to bigger and better things. When im rich and famous , im going to invest in a martial arts school with coach Shae being the director of Jui Jitsu. finally he has improved my drumming a bunch and influenced me in being humble and a better person overall. I love you with all my heart Coach Smith.
