Wes is an outstanding coach! He exudes love and passion for not only jiu-jitsu but for his students; itís evident that he wants his students to succeed and become great practitioners. He has had great success in his own competitive career, has done an absolutely amazing job with the kids classes and is a beloved instructor in the adult classes as well. Heís an excellent teacher and a relentless competitor. We are lucky to have him!

Incredible coach and teacher. Knows the techniques inside and out, and can clearly explain and demonstrate them. He's completely supportive of his students while also being tough and motivating. He's also super observant, and will be familiar with your style and your game right away, and can help you improve where you need it. Above all, he's totally dedicated to jiu-jitsu and his students. Couldn't ask for more.

In today's day and age with convenience and technology moving at the pace of society, it would be easy to click "like" and move on. Not today... Coach King has given me more time and attention and deserves better than that. Today I take the time to comment on how this man has helped change my life. There are people in this world who have a "job" they show up and do the expected amount and collect a paycheck. Not coach King, you can see it in his face he absolutely loves what he does. Every promotion picture he has a smile on his face having faith in the person who has received a stripe, knowing they have learned what is needed to move along without being discouraged. I am one of the bigger students in my classes, I often use strength to move myself or someone. Coach King brings it to my attention that I am using strength and not technique, reminds me, I won't always be the bigger opponent. This lesson is followed up with coach King rolling with me, and showing me, technique always wins, a hard lesson learned while choking on your own GI. I cannot put into words the amount of appreciation I have for all the Gracie Barra coaches, professors, students, and on line support that has changed my life for the better and made me the person I am today. I would like to say a special "thank you" to coach King for teaching me everything I know and investing so much time into me.

Wes has been my main training partner for the last few years. He works incredibly hard to always study and bring new techniques and new details to old the techniques. He is a phenomenal instructor and it has been great to see what he has accomplished with our kids program

I am so impressed with Wes. Two of my children are learning from him. I have seen so much pride and discipline showing through in both of them, since working at BJJ. He has inspired my youngest to use what he has learned to help the younger children in their classes. Wes is a strong person and a wonderful teacher. I am proud to have my boys learning from him.

One of the most knowledgeable jiu jitsu instructors I know. He puts his whole heart into all his students and genuinely cares. He is a great teacher and an even better person and friend. He trains and teaches for the love of the sport and that is what sets him apart from many others. His positivity is always refreshing when you see him. Just dont get into a foot lock battle with him, you will CRY..
