Brian sets the bar very high in regards to work ethic and dedication to one’s students. That work ethic and dedication shows through in the entire Valhalla team.

Brian has always been a great instructor not just in BJJ, but exercise in general. He brings a lot to the table from other areas of expertise which begets dynamic instruction for our (the students) benefit. Definitely worth your time to stop by if you are in the area.

Brian is real bad ass who will teach you how to become one yourself. I look for a teacher who can first off kick my butt. I consider myself pretty tough but Brian makes short work of me, sometimes with one arm tied to his waste. Beau Wolfe, US Army, Afghanistan.

Brian is a top notch instructor with a very well rounded curriculum. I would highly recommend his school for beginners and/or advanced ranks, all levels will be fed. Great instruction, not only can he convey his message in an understandable fashion, he proves it on the mats!

I am with an affiliate school of Valhalla and every time I go to a seminar or open mat I learn something new. Whether it be something totally new or a new detail to something I already had, I always learn. Very dedicated and knowledgeable man.

Brian brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the gym. If you are new to the art or just looking for a new place to train, Brian will certainly improve your skills.

Brian is not only a hell of a jiu-jitsu instructor, he is also great at explaining techniques in a way that allows you to understand how you would use it not only on the mats but also in a real self-defense situation on the street if need be. He is not only one tough dude, he also brings a lot of knowledge to his students with his judo and exercise science background. I not only consider myself very fortunate to know him and train under him, but also consider him a great friend. Also just as all his students, I can testify that his work ethic is beyond reproach and he enstills that same work ethic into to all the members of our Valhalla family.

I train at a Valhalla affiliate school and have been impressed with Brian Jones since the day I met him. If you are looking to start training BJJ or just looking for something different you will not be disappointed. The way Brian teaches makes it easy for students at any skill level to learn BJJ. Everyone I have met from Valhalla Academy and the affiliates are tough as nails. That all starts with the man at the top.

Brian is not only a great instructor but a great person as well. He teaches and believes the old school way which means alot to me. Brian loves to be on the mats with his team grinding it out and is not just on the sidelines barking instructions.

I travel past 3 different BJJ gyms just to get to Brian's gym. Brian is the only instructor I met that I felt actually cared about my progression, and for that I am a life-long student. He teaches how to fight, but also how to be a man in a society that casually labels masculinity as toxic. - Valhalla blue belt

Professor Brian Jones is one of a very select few people that deserves the BJJ black belt. He coaches in a very effective manner and practices what he preaches. I am very proud to be a brown belt under Professor Jones. As an affiliated junior instructor in the Valhalla Association, I am humbled to be able to write this review. Professor Jones is great person both on and off the mat. He has assisted our growth at Top Fight Academy going on 4 years now. It was by far the best decision we ever made. If you are seeking BJJ, Judo, wrestling, or general self defense instruction, look to this man if you can. You will not be let down.

When I started Jiu Jitsu I thought I was doing great. Then, the instructor I had mentioned Brian Jones. I thought to my self, why not go and see his school. After that my life was Transformed in many ways that I couldn’t even explain. Leadership, Guidance, Encouragement, Friendship and Family. Plus we have a great Banner to push us to keep going, even when it gets though, you just look at it and laugh. If you want to know what our banner says. Come and take a class at least ones and decide for your self.
